End of the Year

I’m amazed at the goodness of God. The first semester at Northland is over, and stressful as it was, I can’t help but remember that Christ is made perfect in my weakness. He is the only possible reason that I even made it through… Even though I was so often faithless, He once again proved completely faithful. Through all my failures, He provided me with the resources, the knowledge, and above all, the people that carried me through. My silence on this blog is witness enough for how often I felt far from spiritual, but God gives us all the strength we need.

I’m reminded of what Mr. Belford spoke of in one of our last class periods for Corinthians. He referenced II Corinthians 3:18 – “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” As we look to Jesus, the Spirit changes us from our sin-befouled state into an amazing, sanctified, Christ-centered life. “Looking to Him” is the principle; observing the Savior through the Word, speaking with Him in prayer as the Spirit of God turns our hearts toward Him.

What more, truly, could we desire?
